I decided to apply to UK only last November and since it was a rather belated decision I had several major concerns. For instance I did not think my personal statement would be good enough or ready in time for that matter. However, my first meeting with Mrs. Malik completely eased my concerns as she was so encouraging. I suddenly felt like not only would I be able to apply in time but I would also get into all 5 of the universities that I was applying to. The entire process was simplified by the CollegeCore team who were always just a phone call away. In conclusion, I had a wonderful experience working with CollegeCore whose guidance has been invaluable.

CollegeCore helped me achieve my goal of getting into University of Toronto. It was fun working with the team especially Anshruta who has been a constant help in completing my applications.

Initially, standardized testing, research papers, essays and college applications in addition to regular academics concerned me. However, Urvashi ma’am and the entire CollegeCore team helped me streamline the process.

My apprehensions while finding a counselor were the attention given to my son and his comfort working with them. After meeting with Urvashi Ma’am and her team, I felt my son was in the right hands. How did CollegeCore help me? The millions of phone calls to Charu ma’am and Urvashi ma’am are testament to the millions of ways in which it helped me.

But the most significant?

It allowed me to recognize aspects about myself I didn’t like, those I didn’t want to advertise to a college. This analysis wasn’t based on an aptitude test or scores. It would be found in fun conversations with Disha about essays or meetings with Urvashi ma’am to understand the “why” behind each decision.

Once the recognition was in place, then came the hard but fun part. Hard because it involves a lot of work, fun because most of the work takes place at India Habitat Centre which is home to All American Diner.

This involved countless phone calls and emails of handholding and encouragement from Urvashi ma’am and limitless support from Charu ma’am. My first call for good SAT scores or failure to get the school post was to them. In addition to their support, they connect you with alumni or subject test teachers. With all this you will find yourself not only doing your best, but also enjoying it.

And lastly when you’re absolutely ready to give in to exhaustion, they will ensure you cross that last hurdle. For me it was the essay I wrote to UPenn. I had crossed every deadline set for me, and was almost ready to not apply to this university. At this point Charu ma’am spoke to me and extended the deadline again, encouraging me to have fun with this essay. Brilliant advice. Her advice allowed me to infuse spontaneity into that last essay – which in turn, turned out to be the only one that mattered.

I would never have gotten this far without your help and cannot thank you enough. The constant personal attention, care and amazing brainstorming sessions with Urvashi ma’am were invaluable in getting me through this whole crazy college process! You have helped me through the most stressful times and I cannot express enough gratitude for your accessibility. I am so ecstatic to be at SMU in the fall. Thank You!

Before joining CollegeCore, the only concern I had was communication since I lived 3 cities away. I was completely unsure and oblivious of the entire process but over time after having numerous discussions with all of you all my doubts got cleared. We were novices.
